It sounds like a big deal, but really it's just a wall in the kitchen; a blank wall thus far, which is why it is in need of a project.
The post-Christmas Winter is a little dull and dreary around here. It's cold without much point, the sidewalks are far too icy for a long relaxing walk around the neighborhood, and the parks are covered in snow...great for the jack rabbits, but not so hot for Sadie. It's a bit of a bummer.
Instead of wallowing in the doldrums, I decided that what we need around here is a little (or a lot) of reminding about happy and happy-making things. Like birds singing and flowers blooming and love lasting. So, I'm on the hunt for things made by others to hang on my sad kitchen wall, and I'll be making a few things too.
So far I have this cross-stitch pattern to try my hand at. Kind of a doozy for a first-try, but I'll give it a go. And a small embroidery project already in the works. And a plan for olives. That's all I can say for now.
So to recap,
The Love Project
Who ~ yours truly
What ~ a wall full of art
When ~ from now until it's finished
Where ~ the kitchen
Why ~ because we need a daily reminder (or 20)
of all the things we love about this life.
