and as is custom in our family, we're all busy making gifts. Fortunately none of my family frequents here, so I can share it all with you.

Handkerchiefs soon to be monogrammed , for my Grampa. Aside from myself, he's the only person I know who uses them anymore. I find them charming and old-fashioned, just like him.

A sketch and skein, soon to be a wrap-front cardigan with a shawl collar and simplistic cable details, for my mother.

A quilt of baby clothes and hand-stitched words for Sadie. It will hopefully serve as a reminder to her of all the wonderful qualities that were hers when she was born.
There will also be a few small knit items, maybe another quilt and an embroidered apron. If there's time and budget left, and if I can find the right yarn, I think certain members of my family would love those Aran Isle Slippers.
