What to do when submission deadlines loom? Well, I suppose I skip the knitting and do this instead.
and this too.
Apparently, I nest. It's a new thing I'm doing. I've always had 'resale value' in the back of my mind, so I haven't painted chalkboards and murals on the walls. I haven't hung pictures willy-nilly. Silly, right? Yeah, I thought so too. Well, that's all about to change. I'm a-gonna nest my butt off. Now my only challenge will be to stop myself from nesting our home right into one of those 'Weird Homes' TV shows :)
Hi Kate - The silhouettes are just laser printed photos on printer paper. I cut them out carefully, and then laid them on wax paper so they wouldn't attach themselves to anything else, and painted a couple coats of black acrylic paint. When they were dry, I rubber cemented them to white sheets and voila!

I'm with you, looming deadlines means creativity reigns in a craft I haven't touched in ages, or something new altogether. I love the silhouettes and the snapshot board.
